I suppose we should have known. Before you could even walk, you were rocking to the tunes Mom blasted to keep you and your sisters busy. And at the tender age of 2 years old you would sing the KIDEO theme song and tell us that you were planning on being a rock and roll star. Did we mention your mystical, sometimes magical spirit and presence as a child?

Although you did take an interest in the piano at quite a young age, and had piano lessons with Mr T. (Triglia), your first real passion was the drums. When Andrew Nathans got a drum set, all of a sudden you spent considerable time over at the Nathans place, even though you were half Andrews’ age! And before long you had your own drum set, had lessons with Sal (Larocca), played drums in the school band, won a spot on a NJ Regional Band and were awarded the title of “All State” drummer!

Surprisingly, at around 14 years old you told us you wanted to play guitar - claiming the guitarist always gets the girl, not the drummer. And you were hoping we’d cough up for guitar lessons. But oh no, we said “You’re a drummer (a great one at that). Stick with it”. The thing you were proudest of (and rightfully so) was the music you created from scratch.
